WEB PAGE DESIGN

This is a project-based class where positive, self-motivated students will learn real world technology connections through collaboration and group work.

Students will learn:

TECHNICAL COMPONENT

   • Basic and Advanced HTML Coding
   • Web page development with Dreamweaver MX
   • Visual Design Using Principles of Art, Image Creation
      Manipulation and Image Mapping
   • MacroMedia's Flash and Dreamweaver
   • Adobe Photoshop
   • Management and Directory Structures

PROJECT PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION

Students, individually and in teams, will develop project ideas, pitch them to the class, and create a specific project plan complete with estimated completion dates. Students will work toward project completion and launch, setting up weekly goals.

EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT

Both individual and team projects will be evaluated based on an agreed upon rubric. The same set of descriptors will be used throughout the term to focus on certain web design principles.
