At one
point in the height of activity on the shipyard, this was said to be
the largest shipbuilding crane in the world. You may have seen it
as you are driving north into San Francisco, on the waterfront to the
north of Candlestick Point. It was decommissioned when the Navy shut down
the shipyard.
