Hi, my name is Ms. Pound. I teach 8th grade Science on the Gold Team at Jordan Middle School. I've been teaching for 10 years. Before teaching science, I received a degree in Biochemistry. Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes in living organisms. It deals with the structure and function of cellular components, such as proteins, carbohydrates, Lipids, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules. I love teaching science because I get excited about the material and finding new ways to present it. It is especially rewarding when students also get excited or when a look of understanding is on their faces.
