In Sixth Grade Math students will focus on problem solving, concept development, and computational practice. The overall goal is to enable students to feel mathematically powerful and excited about what they are learning while developing the concepts and skills they need.
In Sixth Grade Science students will explore, create and appreciate Earth Science through the inquiry process. Throughout the year, students will become increasingly aware of the necessity for scientists to classify, observe, predict, measure, and use claim and evidence to communicate their understanding. Students will have many opportunities to form hypothesis, identify and control variables, read data tables and maps, create models, and simulate real life scientific situations. Students will practice making inferences and claims based on knowledge and experience. !
