Take a Bow!

You have successfully ventured around the world, looking at masks from various cultures.  Your mind is overflowing with information and colourful images.  You have worked with other class members to write a script with coherent and related characters, in the Presentational style of Greek theatre, and you have created a mask to portray character.  You have learned, also, some basics about performance-- staging, body positions, vocal projection, and articulation.  Congratulations!  I hope you will always remember what you've learned through this project...

In the words of Oscar Wilde
(renowned British playwright),

Oscar Wilde

"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask and he will tell the truth."
