VIDEO PRODUCTION



This class is a prerequisite for students wishing to enroll in JTV-Broadcast News. Projects include diagramming the camera, making a film autobiography, a fake trailer for a horror movie, an academic topic video, and a film using stop-motion animation. Students learn responsible use of the equipment and how to operate as a filmographer.


Students will complete a number of assignments designed to give them familiarity with the equipment, procedures, and editing for creating short-length video projects, including the following:

- Beginning camera: Six shots

- Interviews R Us

- Video Autobiography

- Something Happened - a short mockumentary

- Fake Horror Movie Trailer

- A Classroom Tutorial

- Know your Community

- A Message to the President

- Stop Motion Animation Featurette

Instructions for all assignments will be delivered via InClass, and all completed assignments will be turned in via course dropbox.
