I have been looking forward to teaching 6th Grade for a long time. In 2001 I taught sixth grade students in Santa Barbara and for six summers I have led a Summer Camp for middle school students in Santa Barbara. In Palo Alto, I have worked at Walter Hays Elementary School for the past six years. I taught fourth grade for two years, then second grade for two years, and then third grade for two years. After six years in elementary school, I feel ready for middle school. Plus, this year (2008-09) there is a chance that I will have some students who I had in second grade four years ago!

I am a person who enjoys learning new things. I love school, especially meeting people and working with others. I have two degrees from University of California at Santa Barbara and one from Notre Dame de Namur University. Since I am passionate about teaching and learning with technology, I am in the process of adding the Technology and Industrial Arts authorization to my teaching credential.

I am a native Californian. I grew up in Half Moon Bay and attended Half Moon Bay High School and I graduated in 1997. I got married in 2003 and my daughter was born in 2007. Lorna, Aila and I love going to the beach. Beach-walks are our favorite pastime.
