My Personal Reaction
Jack Zajac was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1929. He attended Scripps College, and Claremont College in Southern California from 1949 to 1953. Along with being a well known, worldwide artist, he has taught at many colleges and univesities. He has taught classes at Pomona College, Dartmouth College, and University of California-Santa Cruz. His acheivements include many awards and collections around the world. He stayed in Rome for 6 years due to several grants from the Simon Guggenheim Foundation and the American Academy in Rome. He began exhibiting with the Felix Landau Gallery in Los Angeles from 1951 to 1959, and has since then exhibited at many major galleries in Chicago, New York, London and Rome. He currently resides in Santa Cruz.
