Dimtri Hadzi was born in New York in 1921. Hadzi was raised in New York after serving in the airforce during World War II. He made many sculptures including The Pillars of Hercules III. Hadzi's ancestry is Greek and he studied sculpture in Greece, and also lived on Rome for 20 years. He was influenced be the architecture and sculpture of Greeks and Romans. Dimitri has made many major commissions and exhibitions in Europe. When he makes sculptures he thinks of ancient architecture.
