My Personal Reaction

How Beasley used all the geometric shapes to form a creature with movement impressed me. The way he assembled the pieces left me with the impression of a giant metal beast that would lumber away at any moment. He burnished the pieces which gave me the perception that the sculpture was covered with CDs. The creativity of the artist's mind also interests me. The sculpture made me feel small and inferior to the metallic beast holding its posture all day and night like a well disciplined dog under the command to "stay". Over all, the sculpture was very symmetrical and had lots of repetitive triangular forms, plus a lot of dynamic movement.
