I picked this painting for two reasons.  The two reasons are, Leonardo painted the Mona Lisa and I have glanced at it before.  People have told me it started out to be a painting of him but in the end that changed.  This time I looked at the Mona Lisa for a long time.  I began to gain a new understanding towards the Mona Lisa.  I noticed the movement started at the hair, moved down to the bent left arm and crossed over to the right hand, from there it moved up the right arm, and then it followed to the hair again.  I also learned that the light hits her face and neck.  The form is a person. There is much emphasis in the painting; I look at her face.  Her face shows the expression of a girl who knows something, but will not tell. I enjoyed learning about this painting.
