When I first saw this painting I thought "Why aren't the people centered in the painting?" I then noticed that no one was next to them and I figured that this angle and their sad faces show that they are all alone. Also, it looks as though their glasses and bottles are empty and I think that is another thing that adds to the lonleyness. In this painting there are very dull and alike colors, which I think this adds to the lonely feeling. The shadows of the people on the wall match their heads which I think adds to the realism. |
