I chose these particular works of art because they all have an
element of excitement to them. In each of the artworks there is a skillful
use of color - even though all the colors may seem drab. Another reason
I chose these particular three paintings was of their placement in the
timeline of our human history. Each painting was from a different human
era. The first painting, "May Third…" is from Napoleonic times it
was the middle painting in my little timeline. The second painting, "Saturn...,"
is the middle painting in my museum. It is also by Goya, and has the same
Neoclassical style. The final and most far back in history is my "St. George…"
painting which displays dragons and knights in shining armor. All of these
works spoke to me and all have a distinguished quality of their own.
