The contrast from black to white in this picture
is very subtle which makes a peaceful scene. But in this scene the bright
light that explodes shatters the peacefulness and gives a good contrast
to the blue background. This picture also has lots of movement inside it.
The light is exploding in all directions and you can see the 2 dragons
flying away. Also with the sword stuck in the ground you can see the red
ribbon flying in the wind. Birds are flying along the mountain and the
ships are floating in the bay. The shadows in the mountains really show
the depth of the valley and the crevices in the mountain. It is hard to
see, but maybe you could see already that there is a stream of golden light
coming down from the explosion of white light down into a city at the bottom
of the valley. This is a sign of magic or sorcery. Perspective is important
in this picture as well. It shows the depths of the valley and everything
is proportional. So shapes in the front of the picture are larger than
those in the back but are still in proportion. Along the valley floor and
in the bay you can see different values of darkness.
