Outside the Theatre by Jean Beraud
In this painting the people are anxiously waiting to be let into the theatre on a cold afternoon day. The texture of this painting makes me feel like it is chilly. There is little space between the people. The shapes of the people are realistic even though they are a little blurry and crowded. I liked  the blend of colors used  in this piece and how the background is visible. This is important to the feeling. The dull colors of the clothing blend well with the colors of the building  The brush strokes are well defined in the painting.  In addition, I  chose this piece because I liked where the painting took place (in France) and I also like going to the theatre,
