Joan Miró
I chose these pieces because they have bright colors and simple shapes. They are very soothing and they give me a happy feeling.  They have either lots of space or very little space between objects and each shape is different and strange.  The balance in each of my choices differs from very good to okay, but I believe that Miró meant to do that. He also did a good job on making harmony in his paintings by repeating colors and shapes. The paintings do not have a strong focal point or emphasis and have no real pattern.
