The following activities can be done to extend what you are learning in class or to get extra credit points.
1. Scientist Biographies- Click on the scientist biographies link. Select a scientist that worked in the field of biology. Read the article about the scientist. Write a one-page summary of the scientist's life. Use the following format on your paper:

2.Magazine articles- This is a popular choice. Read an article in Discover magazine, Time, Science News, etc. Write a 1/2 page summary of the article. Include and attach the article to the page. Click for online articles below:

3. Historical Events - Use the handout given in class to research an important historical event in Biology. Use internet resources, parent interviews, or books to get information. Include details of the discovery and why it was an important historical event.
