  The objective of the Resource Specialist and the aide is to either assist students in small groups in a separate classroom or to help individual students in the general education classroom in order for the students to be more successful in the school setting. The following are some ways in which the Resource Specialist and aide will assist students:
  •Aiding students in curriculum areas in progress
  •Helping students acquire study skills through lessons in various skill areas (such as comprehension, organization, outlining)
  •Guiding students through tests
  •Teaching students how best to communicate with student's teachers in order to receive individual help and to check on assignment turn-in rate
  •Helping students document assignment, plan out long term assignments and turn assignments in within a timely manner
  •Teaching students how to best organize assignments and binders for him/her
