Director/Writer

One of your roles is very important to your group's project. You are the director/writer which means you oversee the whole project and make sure everyone is focused and that you are all "on the same page". You are the one responsible for the writing/text, although that doesn't mean that you do it all. It just means that you make sure it gets done.

Now that we're more than half way through the year (!) I hope you've noticed by now that religion figures pretty importantly in all civilizations. For your research assignment, you need to figure out the role that religion played on the Silk Road and how that might fit in to your film. Do your main characters, who would like to be married, practice different religions and are forbidden to be together? How might one of your characters feel about a brand new different religion coming into town? Here are some questions to consider as you conduct your research:

What are the major religions along the Silk Road?

How did the artwork that was being traded reflect the exchange of religious ideas?

Which religions moved along the Silk Road and what affect did this have on the people?
