In the Moody Landscape unit we explore the use of digital tools to manipulate landscape imagery and create a digital collage with the objective of creating a definite mood. Students study the Hudson River School of American landscape painting from the mid-19th century, as well as other famous American painters such as Andrew Wyeth and Winslow Homer. Then we use Adobe Photoshop to select various elements from different landscapes to create a unique collage with a definite mood. Click on the "Gallery" link to the right to see the results.
