In this beginning drawing unit, students study the creation of value and pattern using lines drawn in pen. Roller ball pens allow for very fine control of line density and weight, as well as careful and precise creation of pattern. Students are encouraged to study various animal forms and then to use these forms in the imaginative portrayal of a tree. The results are delightful.
